Nigeria's anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested the chief of staff to Adamawa governor, Muhammadu Jibrilla.

According to a report on Premium Times, AbdurRahman Jimeta, the chief of staff to Adamawa state governor, Muhammadu Jibrilla, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The suspect was detained on Sunday by EFCC operatives who stormed Yola, the Adamawa State capital.
Jimeta who also served as chief of staff former Governor Murtala Nyako, whose property along Karewa road, opposite Bekaji Housing Estate in Yola, were sealed off by the EFCC.
As at the time of filing this report, it was unclear why Jimeta was arrested, though it was learnt that the arrest may be connected to a N2.88 billion project for the renovation of Yola Hotel.
EFCC spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, could not be reached immediately.
