Man finds out new girlfriend is a man and commits murder
Tyra had a feeling that Champion was cheating on her and decided to end the relationship by text. Because Champion was so in love with Tyra, he sent a text to her apologizing saying he would make it up to her.
Champion was seen on surveillance camera leaving his College dorm at about 2 am.
Tyler Police were called by neighbours who said they heard multiple gun shots in the area and a suspicious vehicle. When Police got there, they found a Toyota Camry off road and a dead black male behind the wheel who had been shot.
Police interviewed Underwood's friends and checked her computer and found out that the last person she chatted with was Champion.
In their investigation, police interviewed Champion's father, Carlton Champion Sr., who "stated that he heard Carlton Jr. was meeting the victim and thought the victim was a female."
Officer Nathan Elliott wrote in the arrest affidavit. "According to Champion Sr., Carlton Jr. was supposed to get some type of sexual favor from the victim but realized the victim was a male."
He was promptly arrested on Thursday and charged with murder.
The campus surveillance video also showed Champion returning to his college dorm just 15 mins after he had initially left, wearing a black leather jacket. The jacket was tested and it came out positive for blood.
He is being held at Smith County jail and his bail has been se for $1million.

“My daddy and mummy never ate together since I grew up knowing them as my parents. We only saw them eating together for the very first time yesterday (Thursday) .Mummy came back from the market with some drinks she said we would use to celebrate Children’s Day today (yesterday). We were surprised when we saw them eating beans and garri from same plate but concluded that it could be as a result of my kid sister’s birthday that was celebrated same day.We all went to bed without any thought of the unexpected. But at 3am my daddy woke me up and instructed me to go and meet my mum in the bedroom. I left the sitting room where I slept with my aunt and three siblings. As I was going to urinate, I saw daddy vomiting in the bathroom. I went outside to urinate and when I came back, I saw him lying down in the bathroom. When I flashed the torchlight, I noticed that he was vomiting some black substance. He also excreted on himself. Out of fear, I rushed to wake my aunt up to assist daddy. I also told her to wake mummy up to come and help daddy but she said that mummy was not responding. When I went inside and flashed my torchlight at her, I saw that the bed she laid on was socked with blood. On closer observation, I discovered a deep cut on her throat and passed out. Daddy initially said somebody broke into the room and killed mummy but we discovered that the gate was locked. Later he said I was the one that killed my mummy. How can I kill a mother that has been playing the role of a father to us?. She was even sponsoring my elder brother, Collins who just gained admission into the University. She was the bread winner. Twice, we have been sent packing by our landlords at Michael and Banjoko streets because daddy could not pay the rent. Why would anyone think of killing such person? “, he asked, crying.A relative of the deceased, Feronica Imomoh, revealed that Jafairu had previously accused his wife of cheating on him.
“Our family had warned him to stop beating my sister . He does not have any job, she was the one feeding him and paying the rent. Anytime she collected gifts from her relatives, he would quarrel with her, accusing her of sleeping with men. There was a time he took him to our village in Edo State to swear before a shrine that she was not cheating on him. Just yesterday (Thursday) he demanded N10, 000 from her. She promised to raise the money by borrowing from her friends”.Confirming the incident, the Deputy Spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, Chukwuma Ozoani said:”It was a murder case and the husband was suspected to be under the influence of drug. The case has been transferred to the SCID and investigation has commenced.”

Zambian woman allegedly shot her husband dead because he had a child with another woman (photos)
A 30-year-old woman from Lusaka, Zambia allegedly shot her husband dead on May 25, because he had a child with another woman. Head Business News ChannelsTV, Boason Omofaye broke the news yesterday on twitter.
According to Zambezi News, Police deputy spokesperson Rae Hamoonga in a statement to Mwebantu stated that Precious Longwe Liteebele shot her husband Akakanda Lubinda Liteebele five times.
"The murder occurred at around 03:00 hours at unknown house number off Buluwe Road Woodlands extension in which Mr. Akakanda Lubinda Liteebele aged 30 years was shot at five times by his wife Precious Longwe Liteebele aged 30years,” Mr. Hamoonga stated.
"The couple was working for a named bank and Precious has been arrested and charged with murder. She used a pistol and the deceased sustained five bullet wounds: on the chest, left rib side, right rib side, lower back and on the right arm."
Mr. Hamoonga stated that four empty cartilages, one projectile and one ammunition were found on the scene.
He stated that the pistol had been retrieved by the police and that the body of the deceased was in the University Teaching Hospital mortuary
India probes attack on 26-year-old Nigerian student in Hyderabad
India's foreign ministry says it is looking into an alleged attack on a Nigerian student by a local man in the southern city of Hyderabad. 26-year-old Bamilola Kazim was allegedly assaulted by Mohammed Gafoor after a row on Wednesday, May 25. He was treated for wounds at a local hospital and released.
Last week a student from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Masunda Kitada Oliver was beaten to death by a group of Indian men after an argument in Delhi.
Two men have been arrested in connection with the killing of the Congolese man.
ndian foreign ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted on Friday that Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj "had urgently sought report" on Wednesday's incident from the local government "and is monitoring the case".
Police said Mr Kazim allegedly parked his car in front of Mr Gafoor's house, and was attacked with an iron rod by the latter after an altercation.
Hyderabad police officer K Srinivas told BBC Hindi's Imran Qureshi that the two men had "reached some understanding" after Mr Gafoor was arrested and released on bail.
Gideon Omodowale of the local Nigerian Students Association said it was a "small issue".
"He [Mr Gafoor] has apologised and we have also forgiven him. It happens," he told the BBC.
Following last week's killing of an African student in Delhi, a group of African embassies had said they did not want to participate in Africa Day celebrations on Thursday because of repeated attacks on African students in India.
"This is because the African community in India, including students, are in a state of mourning in memory of the slain African students in the last few years, including Mr Oliver," said Alem Tsehage Woldermariam, Dean of African Group of Heads of Mission.
They later relented after Ms Swaraj promised to ensure the safety of African students in India. He said the Indian government had received news from its embassy in Kinshasa, the capital of Democratic Republic of Congo, that some "Indian establishments and shops were attacked on 23 and 25 May as a reaction perhaps to the killing of the Congolese national" in Delhi.
"It has been reported that by Wednesday, things have calmed down," Mr Swarup was quoted as saying by The Hindu newspaper.

boy commits suicide rather than face his parents anger for crashing a new car
An 18-year-old teenage gymnast, Ruslan Gutu, committed suicide by hanging himself, after crashing a brand new car bought for him by his parents. According to his girlfriend Athena, Ruslan confided in her on how worried he was about telling his parents about the crash of the new car.
Athena told the coroner that he was 'shaking' as he told her he was worried about how he would pay for the damage done to his crashed car.
He also asked if she had any rope or paracetamol and 'how much paracetamol it would take to overdose.' She told him he was being stupid and advised him to think of those close to him.
Before committing suicide, he sent his mother a chilling text, which was later released. It reads,
'I am sorry to have left you with everything but it is better this way. I will be watching from above.'
Sadly, his hanged body was later discovered in the woods by a park ranger, close to where he lived in his hometown in Bracknell, Berkshire.
Police cut down the 18-year-old and paramedics at the scene confirmed he had died.

Tinsel actress 'April' Joju Muse, brutally assaulted by her younger brother (Photos)
Tinsel actress Joju Muse, fondly called April, took to her Facebook page today to reveal shocking photos of how she was battered by her younger brother, whom she has now cut ties with. So sad! Sharing the horrifying experience, April wrote;
"I regret this day the 22nd of May 2016. I was brutally assaulted by someone I least expect. I cry out against domestic violence,and I will always do. But how does one handle this? When the culprit is my own blood? Today I cut the tie between us,with no regrets!. I ddnt throw the first punch! But u beat me to a pulp. I suffered a seizure nd am to do head nd chest xray all thnks to u. Am not ashamed of this pic,am only ashamed of d monster uv turned out to be. U were brot up in d way of God. In a good home! I wonder how u turned into an end time beast. I forgive u. But u will never be part of me for this. Sme ppl will say it's nt a social media tin. But domestic violence happens in all forms. Woman accuses wife of a native doctor of bathing her with acid
Vanguard reports that Marbel who was married to a Delta state born man who is also based in Spain, said she visited Nigeria in October 2015 for holiday and while in Edo state, decided to engage the services of a native doctor at Sakpoba Road, Benin City.
In the course of their doing business with the native doctor, the wife of the native doctor became apprehensive of her constant visits to the man and accused Marbel of having an affair with her husband. Marbel refuted the claim but the wife of the native doctor would have none of that.
According to Marbel, the native doctor's wife feared she was out to lure her husband and take him with her back to Spain. The native doctor’s wife managed to get a hold of Marbel’s husband phone number in Spain and called him to report the matter to him. It was gathered that the incident caused problems between Marbel and her husband.
This however took a different turn for the worse when some unknown persons stormed a salon where Marbel was having her hair done and poured her acid on her face. Marbel was rushed to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) for treatment before she was flown back to her base in Spain for surgery. It was amid this tragedy that the victim was said to have sued her husband for divorce, which was said to have been granted by a court in Spain.
Marbel, who is still receiving treatment in a Spanish hospital is appealing for justice from Edo State Police Command. Marbel in a telephone interview said
" I have spent so much hospital bills to save my life due to the wickedness of somebody. I have petitioned the state Police Command through my lawyer. I am only appealing for justice. The police must apprehend the person that bathed me with acid and those that sent them. I have spent all I have on hospital bills so I cannot equally be denied justice in Nigeria. I only came on holiday but look at what I got in return. I need the prayers and help of everyone, particularly the police so that those behind this will be apprehended. I am in pains and those behind this should not go unpunished. And I appeal that the investigation should be accelerated because justice delayed is justice denied. Life has become so frustrating but I thank God for his mercies"The Edo state police command have invited the said native doctor's wife for interrogations. Meanwhile Spokesman for the state Police Command, Abiodun Osifo, has called on anyone with useful information to come forward.
“We appeal to members of the public to help us with useful information because, without information, the police can do little or nothing. This is a crime against God and humanity and we must not condone it. How can somebody bath a fellow human being with acid? Even if the person is your enemy, does that make sense? Such people must face the law no matter where they are hiding. You cannot run forever. I believe the police will uncover the suspects and bring them to justice”he said

Man takes off his clothes and jumps into a lion enclosure in a bid to commit suicide but survives(Graphic
When he entered the enclosure, the two lions immediately pounced on him and started to ,play' with him, severely mauling him. The zookeepers who tried to intervene shot the lions to save the man's life.
The man was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and was said to be in critical condition.
The director of the zoo, Alejandra Montalva, said:
‘We believe that this person entered as a visitor and paid for his ticket.
‘Later he trespassed into an area where the public are not normally allowed and we understand that he forced the roof of the lion’s enclosure. ‘It was from there that he jumped, took off his clothes and started to attract the lions.’
'The zoo has an established protocol because people's lives are very important to us.'Watch the video below:

Pregnant woman dies in an accident on her way to the hospital to give birth to her child
However, on their way to the hospital at about 8:04am, a tanker truck crashed into a Nissan SUV, which in turn hit the couple's vehicle, a Blazer. The couple's Blazer overturned and threw them out of the vehicle instantly killing Iler. Knowing the mother was dead, emergency personnel performed CPR to give the baby girl, Maddyson, a chance to live.
Iler was taken to Saint Francis Medical Center, where an emergency cesarean section was performed on her. Her daughter, Maddyson was born 4 pounds and 15 ounces and was immediately put on a ventilator, Kasandra Iler, Sandra's sister said. The baby was small enough that she needed special treatment.
Kassandra Iler said:
“The thought never once entered my head that that baby might die”. “I felt my sister gave her life to save this baby. That’s how God wanted it. We’ve been calling her our little miracle.”
Her estranged husband who was a passenger in the vehicle seems to be doing better. All of his limbs and a few ribs were broken, and he’s endured several surgeries. Kasandra Iler said Iler’s family has not traveled to see him at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, where he was taken after the collision but that pictures have served as the replacement for a face-to-face meeting.
“She had her whole life ahead of her,” Knight said of her daughter. “And now the baby has to grow up without her mother. ... Amanda, it’s like she’s lost her other half. You can’t tell Amanda and Sarah apart in a lot of pictures.
“Sarah, she just touched everybody’s life,” Knight said. “She was just amazing.”A gofund me account was created to help raise money for Sarah Iler's funeral because she didn't have Life insurance before she died.

Tribune reports that the accused was arrested on Thursday, May 12th by Egbeda Division of the Oyo State Police Command.
Narrating her experience in the hands of Daddy Dayspring, as the suspect was popularly called,the victim said
" Daddy Dayspring is my father’s friend. On Monday, my younger brother and I went to greet him. While my brother was playing outside, Daddy Dayspring asked me to lay on the rug. He laid beside me, removed my underpants and then removed his trousers. He first put his fingers in my private part. He later put his penis in my vagina and I cried. He removed it and blood started coming out. He warned me against telling anyone, saying that I would die if I did. It was when I went outside to urinate that I noticed that blood was coming out of my private part.”she said
Her Father said he had to take his daughter to the hospital when he noticed blood on her pant
“I was not aware of what happened on that Monday because I attended a revival held by Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Egbeda. On Tuesday evening, I overheard her elder brother saying: “tell Mummy”, but I did not pay attention because I thought it was the usual children’s pranks. It was my wife who told me to check my daughter’s private part and when I did, I noticed that her pants were stained with blood. Thinking that something injured her, I quickly rushed her to the healthcentre; but was surprised when I saw that the blood was coming from her private part when the nurses checked her. She was treated and we returned home. The following day, Wednesday, we noticed that she was still bleeding so we took her back to the health centre. A senior nurse started interrogating her and it was there she revealed that it was my pastor friend who raped her. She said further that the suspect warned her against telling anyone or else she would die. We are both members of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Egbeda branch, and I have informed the leadership.”he said
When interrogated, the suspect, who suddenly started to stammer said
"The little girl and her younger brother used to come to me to play. Her father is a close friend of mine. On Monday May 9, I was in my church premises when she came with her brother. The girl went to lay on the rug on the altar and told her brother that her private part was itching, asking him to come and lay on her. They used to play on the rug before then.
I went near them to ask what was wrong with her. I had to use my hand to help her scratch her private part. After that, the girl said: “Daddy Dayspring, come and lay on me also. When I moved nearer, I could not do anything with her; I did not insert my penis in her vagina. What happened next was that I brought my penis out but I could not penetrate her because her vagina was tight. My intention was to touch her, not to damage her. When I saw that her vagina was very tight, I withdrew my penis and left. There was no blood at that time. I don’t know how blood came out of her.”
When asked when last he had sex with his wife, he said six months ago, adding that it was for health reasons. He denied having sex with the girl for ritual purpose, saying she was young enough to be his granddaughter.
The spokesperson of the Oyo State police command, DSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, confirmed the incident and said the suspect had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.Sunday, 24 April 2016
