This was disclosed by the lawmaker representing Oredo Federal Constituency of the state, Ogbeide-Ihama Omoregie, who is the facilitator of the project.
He said that the development was part of efforts to ensure the delivery of quality education to rural areas, adding that the project was aimed at attracting development to the people of Edo State.
According to the legislator, the Junior Girls Model Secondary School in Okhuoromi community, which is located in Iyekeogba village of Oredo Local Government Area, was at 70 per cent completion.
In their reactions, the Head of Okhuoromi community, John Edosonmwan, and the spokesman of the community, Lucky Osadiaye, expressed gratitude for the initiative.
The secondary school being built by the Universal Basic Education Commission, is expected to be completed within the next two months.
